This setup allows you to “plug and play” This budget system allows you to control your DCC locomotives and accessories via your phone or computer/laptop.
It comes with JMRI pre-configured on the Raspberry Pi, with VNC enabled allowing you to access via your existing computer – no need to plug a monitor, keyboard or mouse!
The Raspberry Pi provides the access point and must be connected to your DCC EX command station to work. The command station does not have its own dedicated WiFi.

I thought the cost (£7.50) for 50cm servo extension lead was pricey until I clicked on it to find that this was for 10 pieces.

Setup was a bit complicated but this command station performs well and replaces a Hornby Elite (which is still much more expensive – RRP now £326). I have learnt a lot from installing this, and look forward to more modules in due course.
